Secondary Title

"As worship begins in holy expectancy, it ends in holy obedience."   - Richard Foster

"Worship is an act that develops feelings for God, not a feeling for God that is expressed in an act of worship."   - Eugene Peterson

The worship arts ministry has the responsibility to facilitate environments and opportunities for our church family to express our devotion to God.  The most prominent way that is facilitated is through music on Sunday mornings.  We also have special services such as Good Friday and Christmas Eve.  There are, however, many components that comprise a "worship service".

The conversations, the laughs, the hugs that take place between 10:00 and 10:30 AM before the service are worship.

The music, the melody, the instruments, the lyrics, the voices...that's worship.

The clicking of the mouse to advance the song lyrics on the screen...that's worship.

The teaching of Scripture...that's worship.

The active listening to the teaching of Scripture...that's worship.

Friends, families, individuals taking communion...that's worship.

People sharing at the end of the service how God is working in their lives...that's worship.

Friends visiting after the service until the trustee on lock-up duty kicks them out...that's worship.
