Christ at the Center

Alliance Bible Church is part of a Christ-centered global movement. Our Acts 1:8 family—inspired by Jesus’ love and empowered by His Spirit—is passionate to bring the good news about Him to our neighbors and world.

Alliance Bible Church celebrates Jesus—the image of the invisible God, the Lord of all Creation! We’re all about Jesus.

“For in Christ, all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.” Colossians 2:9-10

Humbled by the open invitation He extends to us—what we call the Great Commission—we join Him in His work to restore and reconcile lost and broken people to Himself.

FAMILY

Community Groups are the most tangible expression of our Kingdom desire — people deeply committed to each other, wrestling with what JESUS taught in order to become more like HIM, and acting on those teachings, so others can feel the impact of His Kingdom in and around them.

We gather this way to invest relationally, share burdens in prayer, study scripture, sing songs of faith, share meals, reach out to our neighborhoods--all with the cause of Christ in mind.

This is where life change happens.

  • LEAD PASTOR

Dave YOUNG has been doing the pastor gig long enough to forget that he used to have a real job designing business processes. He has led small and medium-sized churches around America and in Asia. He's crazy about his two daughters and loves his wife more and more each day. He enjoys swimming, playing golf (albeit poorly) and reading, especially a good spy novel. Dave has a fascination with abiding in Jesus as well as the character, beauty, and love of his heavenly Father.

He grew up in a pastor’s home the youngest of nine brothers and sisters; at fourteen he knew God was calling him, and he responded with – ‘Lord send me anywhere you want; I just don’t want to be a pastor like my dad!’ Since then, he has stopped offering God conditions. Dave has a passion for soul care and spiritual direction. He studied with Larry Crabb and received a Master's degree in Christian counseling from Cairn University. His other passion is for God’s Word and the missional movement of the church around the world; to that end he studied Bible and world cultures at Columbia International University and is doing doctoral work at George Fox Evengelical Seminary studying contextualized ministry for God's displaced and global people scattered around the world.

harvey relief

Many areas of Texas were affected by Hurricane Harvey in August of 2017. As God calmed the storm, Alliance Bible Church teamed up with others to help bring relief to our neighbors in Baytown. Our teams worked to bring hope to those who lost their homes and belongings by assisting them physically and financially. By the grace of God, we were able to help families suffering through the aftermath by showing compassion and action in the name of Jesus Christ.
